This is easily the best year in a long long time.
It should have happened a long time ago, but it didn’t because I thought love could be saved even though it was obviously beyond repair. Well it happened, and jesus christ, it’s been the best damn thing ever. When you start out sort of good, but then slowly distill the fun away, year after year, you can end up in a really strange situation where you dont really realize how bad it is until it is over.
It’s probably not something you can really relate to without having gone through it. Well I did go through it! It’s sort of like living the dream life, only opposite. So when you eventually do come out of it, life is just psychedelic. I just completely forgot how fun and beautiful life can be.
I mean, I’m really celebrating in advance here because I’m still living with my ex-wife since the divorce a few months ago. So you could say it’s still hell. But it’s a lesser hell. It’s like hell but you know it’s going to end pretty soon. One more month to be exact. So sure, it could be better. But it could be way worse too lol \ud83d\ude00
Note to self: If the relationship is not very fun and loving, don’t try to repair it for 10 years. You don’t have a whole lot of “10 years” to throw around with if you think about it.
